The Inaugural Jimboomba Fair Raises $26,500 for Local Family

The Jimboomba community recently came together for the inaugural Jimboomba Fair, a charity fundraising event created to support a local family facing incredibly difficult circumstances.

The event was organised by Moneybags Property in partnership with the charity Your Local Angels Inc and a number of passionate local businesses. The Jimboomba Fair was created in honour of local resident and small business owner Kyle Fair, owner of Trident Electrical, who was recently diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Motor Neurone Disease is a devastating and progressive illness, and Kyle’s diagnosis has unfortunately left him unable to continue working and providing for his family. The Jimboomba Fair was created as a way for the local community to rally together and offer support during an incredibly challenging time.

The response from the community was overwhelming.

Families, local businesses and supporters attended the event in large numbers, creating a fantastic community atmosphere while raising vital funds for the Fair family. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the inaugural Jimboomba Fair raised an incredible $26,500, which will be donated directly to Kyle and his family.

This outstanding result would not have been possible without the support of the event’s major sponsors — Moneybags Property, Mortgage Choice and Pure Perfection Painting — along with silver sponsors BDH Electrical and BNA Plumbing. The event was also supported by 15 additional minor sponsors whose contributions helped make the day a success.

Local businesses generously donated time, services and resources, while the Jimboomba community showed incredible support for one of their own. The event was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together for a meaningful cause.

Following the success of the inaugural event, plans are already underway to make the Jimboomba Fair an annual community fundraiser. Each year the event will aim to support a different local family, child or individual who may be experiencing difficult circumstances and could benefit from the strength and generosity of the local community.

The success of the first Jimboomba Fair has laid the foundation for what is hoped to become a long-standing community tradition — one that continues to bring people together while making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

The question now is simple: who will be the next member of the community that Jimboomba can rally behind and support?
